Unity was the message, and Stella McCartney brought together a group of powerhouse women for her front row.
Helen Mirren, Robin Wright, Ice Spice and Paris Jackson were among the stars who came together for the Tuesday night show, held inside the now-closed Pompidou museum.
Mirren, who walked in the L’Oréal Paris show the previous night, described herself as an “old friend” of McCartney’s.
“I wore Stella McCartney for the premiere of ‘The Queen’ — a dress that I absolutely adored, and I have to this day — so we’ve always supported each other through the years.”
Mirren praised McCartney’s dedication to environmental and social causes. “Stella was way ahead of the game. In that sense, it’s great that people are catching up with her. And the theme of today is ‘Come Together,’ which is such a great theme, something we really need right now. Don’t you think?”

Turns out Mirren was not only being informative, but coy. Because as the lights went down, she took the center of the runway for a dramatic reading of the lyrics to The Beatles’ seminal ‘60s song “Come Together.”
It was a much-needed pause from the frenzy of the front row, to set the stage for McCartney’s energetic collection.
Brazilian singer Anitta sported an LBD with a big swoop in the front. Asked what she liked most about McCartney’s designs, she dug a little deeper.
“I love the worry about sustainability, about doing things [while] thinking also about the world — for me it’s the one thing I admire most,” she said, noting that McCartney’s attention to shape and comfort are also key qualities of her designs. “But I think the worry about [the world] beyond the dress, it’s even more beautiful. You know? It adds a soul.”
Singer Becky G. was still riding the high of being named to Time’s 100 Most Influential Rising Stars list, which was revealed earlier Tuesday.
“I felt incredible when I got the news. I would be lying if I didn’t say that I cried,” she said. “I’ve seen a lot of people in my industry be recognized throughout my career, and to finally now be taking that milestone as mine is really special.”
Becky G.’s entry on the list was written by Selena Gomez, who praised her “rare gift for bridging cultures.” That Gomez took time to pen a tribute “was a huge honor,” she said.
The singer was attending her first McCartney show, and sported a cropped blazer. “I feel so bossy right now. It’s kind of crazy, like, I’m really loving my fit.”
For “The Sandman” star Jenna Coleman, it was her first McCartney show, despite being a longtime fan. She has a favorite pair of boots by the designer that she has had “for years.”
“I love the free spirit and rock ‘n’ roll edge,” she said. She recently wrapped the psychological thriller “Control” with James McAvoy and Julianne Moore in Berlin.
