Milan continues to thrive as a hub for luxury, design and innovation with exciting new openings. Agnona marks its return to Milan with a new boutique on Via Santo Spirito, blending heritage-inspired design with modern elegance. Meanwhile, Golden Goose introduces its first Younique Caffè in Europe, offering a curated coffee and aperitivo experience in the heart of Brera. Additionally, Casa Laveni opens as a boutique hotel in a restored neoclassical palazzo, offering a retreat with meticulously crafted interiors.
Here are some of the new projects to check during Milan Design Week.
Agnona
Agnona is back in Milan with its first store under the guidance of chief executive officer and creative director Stefano Aimone. The brand’s previous Milan store, located in Via Sant’Andrea, closed in 2021 while the new store, which covers 1,296 square feet, is located in Via Santo Spirito. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a wall of “seminato di botticino” bricks, made using chippings of Botticino marble, showcasing the latest collections. The use of brick as a simple structural element pays homage to the personal history of the brand’s founder, Francesco Ilorini Mo, and references the typical Piemontese farmhouses. The walls are finished in marmorino, and white dominates the space, punctuated by walnut boiserie in the dressing rooms. A dark marble surface with vertical veining adds contrast. The artworks by Maria Lai, suspended on a wall, feature two hand-sewn letters, one white, one black, evoking the brand’s chromatic duality.

Casa Laveni
Milan’s Brera district welcomes a new hotel in via dei Bossi, 5. Casa Laveni is a 30-room boutique hotel set within a restored neoclassical palazzo. Developed by the investment group owner Bohopo and designed by Delogu Architecture in collaboration with Studio Sacchi Architetti, the hotel transformed an early-20th-century private residence into an intimate retreat. Originally built in the early 1800s, Casa Laveni was reborn in 1911 as the private residence of engineer Giuseppe Laveni, who contributed to several of Milan’s architectural landmarks, including Excelsior Hotel Gallia and the Odeon Cinema.
The hotel’s design draws inspiration from its former life as a private residence. Delogu Architecture preserved the neoclassical style and architectural character by preserving the facade, decorative cornices, and original cast-iron columns, while interiors feature softer elements such as sky-blue palettes, sculptural furnishings.
The lobby boasts a stunning centerpiece of hand-blown crystal leaves, crafted by Bohemian glass artisans. Furnishings blend contemporary Italian pieces with custom designs, Carrara marble, bronze fixtures, and velvet upholstery.
The basement-level gym and wellness space features natural woods, greenery, and mirrored accents. Rooms showcase custom millwork, natural stone, and brushed brass fixtures, with crimson ottomans and lighting from Artemide and Martinelli Luce adding a pop of color. Some rooms have private terraces overlooking Brera’s rooftops, offering a serene escape.
