Thursday evening was jam-packed for Tommy Hilfiger. Just hours before the designer’s Bryant Park show, Hilfiger hosted a bash to celebrate the opening of his global flagship at 54th Street and Fifth Avenue, and the company’s recent $2 million donation to the Millennium Promise charity. A slew of celebrities, including Naomi Watts, Emily Blunt, Sarah Ferguson, Penn Badgley, January Jones, Mary-Louise Parker, Becki Newton and Mena Suvari were on hand for the fete.
“I don’t want fashion week to end,” said Newton. “The people who want it to end are the ones who actually have to work. I just play that person on TV.”
Others seemed less enthusiastic. “This feels like a free-for-all,” said Watts. “Awards shows are much more controlled than this.”
