SushiSamba, the seven-restaurant chain with locations in Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Tel Aviv and New York, brings its distinctive high-end fare to Las Vegas. The 14,000-square-foot Brazilian Carnival-inspired dining room, bar and sushi bar located on the retail level of The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino is the restaurant’s first West Coast outpost.
Executive chef Jose Mendin continues the restaurant’s traditional marriage of the flavors, techniques and culinary traditions of Brazil, Japan and Peru in one exotic menu. Choice dishes include the Yellowtail Seviche SushiSamba Taquitos ($6) and the Moqueca Mista, a seafood stew made from bahia with dende oil, coconut milk, roasted cashew and lime ($29).
