Hudson’s Bay Co.’s not playing around with digital.
The corporate parent to Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay brought on Toys ‘R’ Us veteran Dion Rooney as executive vice president of HBC Digital, responsible for leading the online experience across all of the company’s banners.
Rooney reports directly to the office of the chairman and joins the firm’s leadership team.
“With digital commerce transforming the shopping experience, we are committed to continuously evolving our all-channel experience and enabling our customers to buy anywhere and ship anywhere,” said Jerry Storch, chief executive officer of the retailer. “Dion’s proven success in developing global e-commerce strategies and achieving significant growth through all-channel retailing will help us realize best-in-class performance as we continue to invest in our digital business.”
Rooney spent more than 30 years at Toys ‘R’ Us, most recently as senior vice president and chief information officer.
