LONDON — Studio Nicholson, the coed British brand known for its fluid tailoring and fine fabrics, on Thursday opened its second London outpost on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch, a trendy neighborhood in East London.
It represents a homecoming moment for the East London-originated label, which is set to celebrate its 15th anniversary next year with a slew of collaborations and a steady pipeline of global retail expansion.
The brand plans to open a third London store and its second Japanese store in late 2025, alongside international pop-ups in major department stores across Asia and the U.S.
In South Korea, where the brand currently runs four mono-stores via a partnership with Samsung, Studio Nicholson will add another location as well.

The 957-square-foot Redchurch Street space was designed by architectural firm Studio Tuesday and Nick Wakeman, founder and creative director of Studio Nicholson, to reflect the brand’s pared-back attitude.
The space is filled with furniture designed by architect Benni Allen and two long travertine tables, surrounded by minimalistic brushed steel rails to display the brand’s men’s and womenswear ready-to-wear collections. There are also floor-to-ceiling cherry oak paneled timber shelves for the brand’s fast-growing accessories range. It cleverly hides a wrapping station and three changing rooms at the back.
“We’re so excited to return to Shoreditch where I started the brand from a small office back in 2010 and later ran our first store for many years. We have a loyal group of customers in the area, so it felt all the more important to design a space where you’d want to spend some time,” said Wakeman, who has since taken the brand on a journey of global expansion, gaining popularity in key markets like Japan and South Korea.
“We looked to peaceful and light-filled residential architecture and galleries I’ve visited in Japan for inspiration. I’m so happy with the space as the perfect backdrop for our collections,” she added.
To celebrate the opening, a limited-edition colorway of the brand’s top-selling Shiboru bag, in Conker Italian-grained leather, will be available exclusively at the Shoreditch location.
An official store launch and anniversary celebration will take place in February.
