Dsquared2 has made its retail debut in the Netherlands.
The fashion brand opened two stores in the country, one on Amsterdam’s PC Hoofstraat shopping street and another on Lijnbaan in Rotterdam. The boutiques feature customized concepts developed by Dsquared2 founders and creative directors Dean and Dan Caten in collaboration with the Milan-based Storage Associati architecture firm.
“The Netherlands are like a small treasure chest which encloses artistic and architectural jewels but also leaves space to contemporary art, to avant-garde design, and fashion,” said Dean Caten.”This is the reason why we decided to open two boutiques in this country, especially in two innovative and creative cities such as Amsterdam and Rotterdam.”
The 2,325-square-foot Amsterdam store spans three floors connected by marble staircases with steps lit by LED lighting and embellished with brass.
