SHUFFLING DECKS: InStyle magazine is shape-shifting its accessories team. The Time Inc. title has appointed Sam Broekema as its accessories director and Elana Zajdman as accessories editor.
Broekema joins InStyle from Harper’s Bazaar, where he served as executive accessories editor. Broekema’s tenure at the Hearst glossy began in 2011. He has also held roles at Vanity Fair and Self. Broekema starts at InStyle on Monday and he will report to fashion director Melissa Rubini.
Zajdman, who started at InStyle on Tuesday, joins the title from Marie Claire — where she had served as accessories editor since 2012. She had also held various positions at Vogue. Like Broekema, Zajdman will report to Rubini.
Broekema and Zajdman replace recent InStyle exits Meggan Crum and Danielle Prescod, respectively.
