NEW YORK — Susie Hilfiger is really getting into the Bunny Hop.
Hilfiger, former wife of Tommy Hilfiger, and her company, high-end children’s brand and retailer Best & Co., are the title sponsors of this year’s 16th Annual Bunny Hop at FAO Schwarz here on Tuesday evening. The kid-friendly event will raise money for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Department of Pediatrics. As a kickoff, hospital committee members gathered with their children at the famed toy store for an ice-cream social on March 5. The committee members’ children are all members of Kids Kick In, an organization of children ages five to 18 that has been helping to raise money for the hospital since 2005.
“What a great way to give back to children,” Hilfiger said of her involvement in the organization. “It’s such a family event, which I think works well with our brand, which is about children being children.”
The Bunny Hop’s honorary chairwoman is Melania Trump.
Entertainment at the event will include performances by the kid-popular group Laughing Pizza, magic acts by Magic Al and Swarovski tattoos. Kids Kick In members will staff booths selling Kids Kick In T-shirts, made for them by Best & Co. The shirts will be $35 and all proceeds will go to the hospital. Other sponsors are Chorion and Mrs. John L. Strong, the high-end stationery company, which designed the invitations and coloring books that will be included in the gift bags.
