60 MINUTES’ FUN FEARLESS FLIGHT: Everything appeared to be running smoothly at Cosmopolitan’s girl power conference “Fun Fearless Life” in Manhattan this past weekend.
The Hearst-owned title sold out of tickets at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater — but there was one hiccup that most attending the two-day event probably didn’t see.
On Saturday, while Harvard Business School professor Amy Cuddy gave a rendition of her famous TED Talk, which is the most viewed talk on the Internet, a “60 Minutes” camera crew was busy finagling its way into the auditorium and up to the greenroom to surprise interview Cuddy.
CBS had sent a crew to corner the professor for a “60 Minutes” segment on people who have become famous after their TED Talks.

But Cuddy bypassed the greenroom, went up to makeup, and delivered her speech on body language, power posing and empowerment.
The crew got through security, sources said, and were waiting backstage, but once they began unpacking their cameras, a building official told them they were not allowed to film inside due to union rules.
By the time Cuddy got off the stage, the crew had been turned away. The social psychologist hung backstage for about an hour, following her presentation, which ended around 2 p.m.
“Could you believe that ‘60 Minutes’ crew?,” Cuddy was overheard saying.
Although it could be assumed that Cuddy did not want to take part in the show, she has given interviews to CBS on her inspirational talk, but perhaps has soured on the experience.
