Bolstering its executive ranks, David Yurman has named Carol Pennelli as president and chief commercial officer, and David Minster as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Both positions are new.
Pennelli was executive vice president of sales and marketing and has been with the fine jewelry firm since 2002. Before joining Yurman, she worked at Bobbi Brown and Clinique.
Minster has been with the company for nine years as senior vice president of operations and chief information officer.
“Both Carol and David have been an integral part of our organization…and their extraordinary contributions have helped us immeasurably,” said chairman and designer David Yurman. “We…look forward to their continuing to play an active role as our business continues to grow in scope and size.”
The firm, which is marking its 30th anniversary this year, opened a flagship in a converted town house on Madison Avenue this month, which punctuates a two-year global expansion that includes the company’s entry into Europe with a 400-square-foot in-store boutique at Printemps in Paris, and another shop-in-shop at the Moscow luxury retailer Tsum. There are also plans for a London location.
