Perry Ellis International Inc. said David Rattner, a former executive at Elizabeth Arden, will be replacing the brand’s current chief financial officer Anita Britt when she retires at the end of March.
Rattner worked more than 20 years for Elizabeth Arden and most recently served as vice president of finance and corporate controller. The spa beauty brand was acquired by Revlon Inc. in September and in January, the new parent company took to reintegrating and restructuring, putting 350 jobs on the chopping block.
While it’s not clear whether the cfo position at Elizabeth Arden was a victim of the restructuring, Revlon said in January that the combined finance department was facing changes.
But Rattner said Monday that he’s pleased to be joining Perry Ellis.

“These are both exciting and challenging times in the apparel industry, which present real opportunities for a company like Perry Ellis, with its strong portfolio of brands and its focus on delivering innovative retail experience to its customers and consumers,” Rattner said.
As for Britt, she will be retiring from Perry Ellis as of March 31, after eight years with the company.
“I am proud of my time at Perry Ellis and feel fortunate to have worked with George and Oscar Feldenkreis and the entire organization,” Britt said, referring the company’s top executives. She described the firm as having “powerful brands and a strong operating platform.”
Oscar Feldenkreis, chief operating officer, said Britt has been instrumental in driving the brand’s gross margin expansion, expense savings and inventory turns.
“Anita has built a solid finance team and with her help we anticipate a smooth transition over the next few months,” Feldenkreis said.
In June, Perry Ellis hired David Enright as its new chief operating officer. Before joining the brand, Enright served as senior vice president of global distribution, planning and logistics at Coach Inc.
