PARIS — The Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin voted in Pierre-François Le Louët as its new president during a general assembly meeting Thursday.
Le Louët, who succeeds Daniel Wertel in the role, has since 2007 served as administrator of Paris’ union of women’s fashion. Between 2007 and 2010 and again beginning in 2013 he has been a board member of the Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin, or French Federation of Women’s Ready-to-Wear. Le Louët also formerly held positions at NellyRodi, NellyRodi Money Box and L’Oréal.
Wertel was elected a vice president of the federation’s board.
“Our companies’ context has known a big and rapid transformation,” Le Louët said. “I wish to accompany this change, with the support of the board, to help companies respond to new issues: the evolution of the manners of consumption; the transformation of retail channels; digitalization, and the conquest of new markets, without forgetting the necessary reinforcement of leadership of Paris.”
Four out of the federation’s 14 board members are new, with all positions coming with a three-year tenure. It groups together seven regional unions representing French ready-to-wear.
