NEW YORK — The Warnaco Group has named Patricia Royak as president of the company’s Calvin Klein Jeans Division.
Royak comes to the company after having spent the last six years with Liz Claiborne Inc., where she most recently served as vice president of global brand marketing for Liz Claiborne apparel and president of Liz Claiborne Europe. She joined Claiborne in March 2000 as vice president and general manager of international alliances. Prior to that, Royak spent 18 years with Levi Strauss & Co.
Joe Gromek, Warnaco’s president and chief executive officer, said in a statement that Royak’s “strong background in the denim category and her experience running global lifestyle brands will both be great assets to us as we continue to develop our Calvin Klein Jeans business.”
Royak will report to Frank Tworecke, president of the sportswear group, and will be responsible for all design, development, merchandising, marketing and sales for the Calvin Klein Jeans brand in the U.S.
Royak’s appointment comes almost a month after Calvin Klein Jeans president Colleen Kelly announced she would be leaving the company to become group president of the wholesale division at Tommy Hilfiger USA. Kelly had served as head of Calvin Klein Jeans for four years.
Revenues for the Calvin Klein Jeanswear segment fell to $66 million from $70 million in the most recent quarter as a result of sales being shifted to the second half of the year.
