PARIS — Fred, the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned jewelry house, has a new leader.
Nathalie Bader-Michel, who has worked for Chanel and has served as marketing director of Sephora Europe since 2003, on Thursday was appointed president and chief executive officer of Fred Paris SA, effective Dec. 1.
Bader-Michel graduated from the IDRAC business school in Paris and had stints at Revlon and Yves Rocher.
At Fred, she succeeds Dominique Watine-Arnault, LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault’s sister, who died after an illness earlier this year. Watine-Arnault, a former auctioneer, brought greater fashion sense to Fred during her decade at the house.
Founded in 1936, Fred is known mostly for its rings. It has catered to the likes of Marlene Dietrich and provided Julia Roberts’ ruby and diamond necklace for “Pretty Woman,” according to the company.
