WASHINGTON — Immigration & Customs Enforcement said Monday that its agents had seized more than $100,000 of counterfeit apparel items last week from three stores in Abilene, Tex.
According to the agency, the seized purses, T-shirts, jeans, polo shirts, hats and jackets bore counterfeit trademarks, including Nike, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ed Hardy, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger and DC Shoes. On Thursday, agents seized 2,785 pieces of fake merchandise that was worth approximately $106,000 at retail.
The three stores that were part of the investigation were previously identified for selling counterfeits, but because the current investigation is ongoing the store names were not immediately released.
