Founded in 2015, Nouvel Héritage blends a contemporary ethos with the renowned excellence of traditional French craftsmanship.
Created by New York-based French entrepreneur Camille Parruitte, Nouvel Héritage has deep ties to her family’s French jewelry business, continuing to work in tandem with its in-house ateliers in France. While the craftmanship is pure heritage, the brand’s minimalistic line designs are inspired by New York’s graphic architecture.
Punk and streetwear culture are signatures of the Maison’s jewelry in its Mood collection, which blends the punk movement aesthetic codes to create everyday essentials. Styles for the collection meet the wearers’ moods and the occasion including Brunch in NY, Business Meeting, Dinner Date, Lunch with Mom, Monday Morning, Parisian Stroll, Soiree, Tuxedo and Under the Stars.
Here, Parruitte sat down with Fairchild Studio to discuss infusing new life into their signature collections, being a contemporary fine jewelry brand, quiet luxury and more.

Fairchild Studio: What is the inspiration behind the collection being shown at the Couture Show?
Camille Parruitte: We played with our existing collections. We have newness in three of our signature collections: Mood, Latch and Medallions. For Mood, we are emphasizing the clasp of our bangle called the piercing and inspired by the punk aesthetic.
With Latch, we are revisiting the piece as a miniature version to wear all day every day, while keeping the playful way to fasten the chain through the cord stopper. For Medallions, the collection is inspired by my mother’s travel journals, we are “traveling” to New York and Paris – the two meaningful cities of the brand.
We wanted to develop the collections we are known and loved for; there is so much we can bring to them to create a complete storyline. We are adding new ways to style each of the collections.
Fairchild Studio: How does Nouvel Héritage stand apart in the market? What unique materials or techniques are you incorporating for the Couture Show 2024?
C.P.: Nouvel Héritage expresses a contemporary vision of fine jewelry that blends excellence in craftsmanship with creative audacity thanks to a free spirit, a living heritage and a style in motion. Since its founding, the Maison has stood out for its willingness to draw on oxymoron, contrast and paradox.
Allure and subversion, simplicity and opulence define the Mood collection, which transposes punk aesthetic codes into precious jewels sculpted in 18-karat recycled gold or titanium. A perfect balance of tension and flexibility allows the bangle to be worn seamlessly every day.
Fairchild Studio: How do you see the current trends in jewelry and timepiece design being reflected in your collection?
C.P.: A prevailing trend that perfectly aligns with the Maison’s creations is “quiet luxury.” The collections feature clean and minimalist designs. This meets the demand of a discerning clientele in search of pieces with impeccable quality and exceptional craftsmanship.
Fairchild Studio: Who is the Nouvel Héritage brand’s target audience? Who are you designing for?
C.P.: We design for people who are always on the go, whether traveling around the world, going to work and/or taking care of their kids. They lead a busy lifestyle and need jewelry they can wear from morning to night. Pieces that are comfortable enough to never have to be removed and adapt to a casual or formal setting.
I love to play around with my wardrobe and not limit myself to one style, the same way jewelry should celebrate every detail of your individuality and personality. The Nouvel Héritage client can
be very classic or very edgy. There are no rules, your jewelry should adapt to you.
