“It’s super natural with a little edge,” said Charlotte Tilbury, who was working with MAC Cosmetics at Matthew Williamson Wednesday. “[Williamson] wanted the girls to look beautiful, healthy and glowing, but he also said ‘Give me an edge of sophistication.’”
Tilbury translated that edict into clear skin, which was dotted with concealer where needed. She shaded eye sockets and under the eyes with cream eye shadow in a brown hue and coated top lashes with mascara. Blush in Cherche, Pleasureful and Posey were blended in the center of the cheek and lips were moisturized with Lip Conditioner. To add a futuristic element, Tilbury dusted tops of lids and cheeks with Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk.
Paul Hanlon, working with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art, infused hair with a Seventies vibe. “It’s a bit Seventies inspired,” he said. “But it’s not literal.” Freshly washed hair was center parted and Texture Spray was spritzed into mid-lengths and ends to give movement and texture. It was then tonged loosely before Hanlon used a Mason Pearson brush to backbrush sections underneath to create a sense of density.
