Val Garland, working with MAC Cosmetics, went light on color Wednesday at Aquascutum.
“It’s just about perfect skin, perfect real skin,” she said. “It’s healthy, glowing, beautiful and perfect.” Face and Body Foundation was used to cover blemishes. The only hint of color was a wine-red lip created using lipstick in Del Rio. “It’s a veil of vino,” said Garland.
Geishas and sumo wrestlers inspired hairstyles by Eugene Souleiman, who was working with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art. Infinium hairspray was used to coat the hair, which was pulled into a loose ponytail to one side. The ponytail length was looped through its base to create a rolled effect at the sides. The length was then tonged into barrel curls and twisted into a bow shape.
“This is very, very sleek,” Souleiman said.
