“She’s a real girl, it’s country glamour, a wild child who is out in the country and not wearing makeup,” she said of her inspiration. “She’s been eating raspberries and has got that hue on her lips.” MAC Face and Body Foundation was massaged into the skin like a moisturizer, while eyelids were coated with Lip Conditioner to create a soft film. Lips had the only pop of color — a lipstick in a tomato shade. Moisturizer was then massaged over makeup to plump up the skin and give the lip color a lived-in look.
Eugene Souleiman plumed for a multitextured look for hair. “It’s like Grace Coddington after being pulled through a hedge backwards,” he said, adding Farhi, Sonia Rykiel and Siouxsie Sioux were also inspirations. Using either thickening spray or setting lotion, hair was twisted into coils and set under hoods attached to hair dryers. After untwisting the coils, stylists broke down waves and added texture by massaging the hair.
