“One of the most widely discussed impacts of AI is job displacement or replacement,” said Hall, adding that it would be a fool’s game to try to completely block the usage of AI inside companies. “There’s definitely a lot of fear today, but one of my favorite truisms from the industry over the past year or so has been, ‘AI is less likely to take your job than a person who knows how to use AI.’ That seems to hold up in lots of different areas of the industry, from desk jobs to hands-on warehouse operations and others.”
