Coach x Bank & Vogue Transform Corduroy Textiles Into Handbags

Coach and Bank & Vogue (B&V) are tackling textile waste, one designer handbag at a time.

The American luxury brand and the parent company behind the European vintage chain Beyond Retro have joined forces again to craft limited-edition handbags from repurposed textiles. This time, the focus is on corduroy that was once destined for landfill.

The collaboration brings together Coach’s heritage craftsmanship and B&V’s expertise in circular innovation. Each bag is designed to showcase the beauty of repurposed corduroy.

“Coming together in this way feels like a natural evolution,” said Steven Bethell, founder of Bank & Vogue. “Coach’s craftsmanship and our expertise in textile reuse show how circular design can scale within the luxury space.”

The new collection includes the Patchwork Corduroy Cargo Tote and the Patchwork Corduroy Cargo Tote 26. The bags—each featuring tonal shades of brown and beige and a bold Coach logo—retail for $350-$395.

Additionally, all Beyond Retro stores are spotlighting secondhand corduroy fashion this month.

The collaboration builds on their previous work together. The companies first partnered in March 2024 to create Coach Soho handbags made from repurposed denim. This project led Coach to conduct a life cycle assessment on the bag and learn that by using post-consumer denim, the brand could save up to 80 percent carbon and 95 percent water versus new denim.

Coach and B&V reunited for a second collection of upcycled denim bags in March 2025.

The upcycled accessories reinforce Coach’s ongoing commitment to circular fashion. The brand launched Coachtopia, a Gen Z-focused sub-label, nearly two years ago that offers sustainable products including pieces made with repurposed waste materials.
