Pakistan-based US Denim Mills, a company of US Group, is tapping into denim’s authenticity for its Autumn/Winter 26-27 collection, The RAW Edition.
Launched earlier this year at Kingpins Amsterdam, The RAW Edition embraces simplicity and draws inspiration from nature, capturing the raw beauty of denim in its purest form.
“These twin inspirations form the heart of the collection—one grounded in restraint and heritage, the other in character,” said Intizar Ali, general manager of research and business development at US Denim Mills. “Together, they offer a meditative vision of denim that strips away excess and leans into identity.”
The denim mill’s collection unfolds across six distinct design narratives primarily crafted from cotton, TENCEL™, linen, their thoughtful blends, and wool, each offering a “different interpretation of raw authenticity”.
Classic Aura sets the tone, honoring the rugged simplicity of old-school jeans with fabrics dyed in pure indigo, sun-faded vintage casts and subtle green undertones. Some pieces are crafted on selvedge shuttle looms, grounding the collection in heritage craftsmanship while nodding to a more refined, modern aesthetic.
Next is Airloom, which is inspired by open skies and ease of movement, according to Ali. “This range features feather-light—yet structured—fabrics, blending rigid and comfort stretch options,” he added. “The result is denim that floats with grace but stays true to its roots—effortless, but never superficial.”
Following Airloom is Majestique, which combines the softness of cashmere with a dense hand feel, creating pieces in dark tones that are both tactile and polished.
Flex ‘n Flow redefines performance wear through a denim lens. Built for movement and comfort, this category prioritizes comfort without sacrificing structure. The stretch is intuitive—supportive but not restrictive—giving wearers freedom without compromise, Ali noted.
DyeVerse’s range features slub textures—a textile created by intentionally using thicker, uneven yarns—cross-hatch constructions and layered over-dyeing techniques that yield a spectrum of hues like earthy greens and moody navy blues.
Lastly, Off-Beat challenges traditional notions of denim with dobby weaves, unconventional surfaces and bold colorways, like brown and burgundy, Ali said, adding that these are statement pieces designed to “stand out.”
“As the industry increasingly embraces transparency, The RAW Edition meets the moment. Deliberate, unfiltered and forward-looking, it invites wearers and brands alike to reconsider what ‘raw’ truly means—not just in aesthetic, but in purpose,” Ali said. “In doing so, US Denim Mills proves that authenticity and innovation are not opposites but partners—setting a new standard for what denim can be in the seasons ahead.”
