American Giants Levi’s and Nike Join Forces

What happens when two giants from their respective worlds unite? A collaboration coveted by denim enthusiasts and sneakerheads alike.

Next month, Levi’s and Nike will release an apparel and sneaker collaboration designed to represent the “perfect intersection of denim and sneaker culture.” Leo Gamboa, VP of collaborations at Levi’s, said the companies set out to “craft an immersive experience that celebrates the shared legacy and forward-thinking spirit of both brands.”

The new collection reimagines Levi’s core items—the Trucker jacket and jeans—with roomier contemporary fits. The Levi’s x Nike Trucker Jacket and Levi’s x Nike Baggy Jean feature matching mid-to-light wear patterns and off-white chain-stitching details.

The Trucker has selvedge running through the interior placket and a prominent chainstitch Nike logo on the back. The jean’s oversized fit is specifically designed to complement the collection’s footwear with the perfect leg opening and stack that enhances the sneaker’s profile. Both have a co-branded brown leather patches with Nike swoosh logos that replace Levi’s traditional Two-Horse design.

The colllaboration also honors the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 95 with three slimmed-down iterations of the iconic style, each crafted with premium Levi’s denim materials and unique design elements. “By integrating our signature denim into one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes, we’ve created a seamless fusion of sport and lifestyle—honoring the past while pushing the boundaries of design,” Gamboa said.

The white/ecru model has a matte white with a gum sole. The Nike Air Max 95 Black uses 14 oz. black denim for the upper. The third style pairs uppers made with the same mid-to-light wash pattern as the apparel collection with a matte navy sole and midsole.

The sneakers also combine branding details.  The Levi’s iconic Red Tab appears under the Nike swoosh on the right shoe only, while the sole’s shank displays Levi’s red branding. The sock liner showcases a Levi’s dollar bill print on a red substrate. Custom packaging redesigns classic Nike Air Max 95 boxes in Levi’s red with added batwing details.

Hip-hop artist Larry June, Dallas Wings point guard Paige Bueckers, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman and Kids of Immigrants’ co-founder Daniel Buezo star in a campaign for the collection.

The collab will launch on Levi.com, the Levi’s App, in select Levi’s flagship stores on July 10. It will be available on July 11 on SNKRS, Nike’s dedicated app for limited releases.

In 2019, Levi’s and Nike teamed up for Nike by Levi’s, which allowed consumers to customize their Nike sneakers with Levi’s fabrics and trims. The brand also bowed Air Force 1 High and Air Force 1 Low sneakers.
