Levi’s and Jordan are reuniting for a collection that celebrates the connections they share with various subcultures.
The new collection explores how craftsmanship and sport culture come together, reworking classic styles with a sport-inspired edge.
This narrative is carried into the collection’s campaign set in a park where different communities showcase their crafts. Filmmaker Spike Lee, who directed Levi’s popular “Button Your Fly” campaign in 1990, stars in the campaign alongside skater Josh Velez, artist Rio Amor and bucket drummer Jay Wright, the son of Larry Wright who starred in Levi’s ad Lee directed.
The 9-piece apparel collection fuses Jordan’s athletic codes with Levi’s denim heritage.
The Pinnacle Varsity Jacket features leather sleeves, a melton wool body, quilted satin lining, and several vintage-inspired graphics pulled from both brands’ archives, including a cowboy-riding-bull patch nodding to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls legacy. A cropped football jersey with contrasting matte and gloss red panels underscores the collection’s athletic theme.
The Type III Trucker is done in black washed denim with an aged tint. Jordan’s oversized Wings logo is on the back yoke. The Overshirt Jacket, made with 12 oz. rinsed indigo denim, is stitched with Levi’s signature golden wheat thread.
Jean styles include the Black Baggy Jean built on a Levi’s 578 block with an extended inseam for stacking. The Baggy Shorts offer a generous fit with deep pleats, sitting well below the knee with slash pockets, welt back pockets, and co-branded finishing throughout.
The Fleece Zip Hoodie delivers heavyweight comfort with vintage black wash, a two-way zipper, and co-branded artwork. The collection also includes a denim cap and, and in a nod to Lee, a T-shirt that reimagines the ’90s “Button Your Fly” graphic.
The Levi’s x Jordan Air 3, available in Rigid and Black, is at the heart of the collection. The Rigid colorway has indigo denim panels throughout the upper, complemented by black-on-black elephant print. The Black colorway has pebbled black leather and black denim panels.
The brands are also offering two exclusive versions of the sneakers. For Lunar New Year in Greater China, Japan, and Korea, the Year of the Horse colorway pays homage to the upcoming lunar calendar with unbleached rigid ecru denim, premium pony hair panels, a jacquard heel tab, and red chain stitch embroidery reading “Year of the Horse” on the interior tongue.
The L.A. exclusive combines pebbled leather and blue denim accents. The interior of the tounge features “City of Angels” red chain stitching. marking the interior tongue.
“Reimagining the Jordan 3, one of the most iconic silhouettes in sneaker history, through a Levi’s lens allowed us to create something that celebrates both brands’ deep connection to so many subcultures,” said Leo Gamboa, VP of Levi’s collaborations. “From the denim construction to the varsity jacket that nods to MJ’s Bulls legacy, every piece in this collection represents the shared greatness that’s woven into both Levi’s and Jordan Brand—greatness that’s been embraced for generations.”
