As Chinese New Year approaches, Diesel is preparing with a capsule collection dedicated to the Year of the Horse.
The Italian denim brand unveiled a nine-piece collection by creative director Glenn Martens “as an expression of the Horse’s full-force spirit” through denim, T-shirts, hoodies and more.
A symbol of passion, freedom, individuality and rebelliousness, Diesel said the horse reflects the brand’s core values of nonconformity, self-expression and energy.
A horse with flames tracing its mane and tail is featured throughout the collection as vintage-inspired prints and embroidery. The men’s D-Macro jeans and women’s D-Sent jeans are embroidered with a horse on the back pocket with pocket linings featuring red bandana-inspired micro horse prints.
The horse print is also applied to tie-dye hoodies, cotton T-shirts and stretch T-shirts, available in grey and, faded burgundy—a reference to the traditional red of Chinese New Year and Diesel’s signature red.
“The collection conveys the fast-paced evolution, boldness and speed that the Year of the Horse brings,” the brand stated.
