Heritage workwear brand Carhartt and Rit Dye, the U.S. producer of fabric dye products, aim to spark creativity this summer.
The duo launched the Carhartt x Rit Dye Kit, encouraging Carhartt fans to reimagine pieces already in their closets or to explore new styles from the Carhartt Undyed Collection.
The kit includes three Rit Dye Powder Boxes in wine, dark green and navy, a 100 percent cotton bandana, an undyed cotton pouch and instructions guide.
Additionally, Rit teamed with AlmaRosa Villalobos, founder of PinkSouls Studio, an Illinois-based woodwork workshop, to showcase tutorials for different dye techniques on its website and social media.
The Carhartt Undyed Collection acts as a blank canvas for Rit’s dyes. Included in the collection are some of Carhartt’s bestselling items like the women’s loose fit canvas work overalls, vintage fit duck double front pant and the Rugged Flex loose fit canvas chore coat as well as Tencel tops.
Men’s styles include the Rugged Flex double-front utility pant and heavyweight long- and short-sleeve tees. The kids line spans infant/toddler overalls and one-pieces to youth T-shirts. Socks, an apron and a tote bag are also part of the collection.
Undyed ecru, natural and oat milk colorways are featured throughout the assortment.
The kit retails for $24.99. Styles in the Carhartt Undyed Collection retail for $11.99-$89.99.
