Wiliot and Velociti Team Up Partnership To Take ‘Physical AI’ Nationwide

In a move aimed at reimagining how global supply chains track everything from crates of produce to fleet vehicles, Wiliot and Velociti formed a strategic partnership today. The collaboration looks to accelerate the large-scale rollout of Wiliot’s Physical AI platform, moving the technology out of the pilot phase and into hundreds of distribution centers and retail hubs across the country.

The companies said the partnership combines Wiliot’s cutting-edge, battery-free sensor technology with Velociti’s decades of experience in massive infrastructure deployments. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Physical AI platforms are integrated hardware and software systems that enable AI to understand, reason, and interact with the physical world.

While many companies have experimented with real-time tracking, scaling that technology across thousands of miles and hundreds of sites remains a significant hurdle. However, Velociti, a systems integrator, said it provides the technical expertise and national footprint necessary to clear that hurdle. To date, the two companies said they have successfully completed more than 15 deployment types across 500 sites, ranging from distribution centers and fleet vehicles to complex environments within the retail, grocery, logistics and postal sectors.

Under the hood, Wiliot’s platform relies on IoT Pixels, which are tiny, battery-free Bluetooth sensors that cull energy from radio waves. Rather than simply identifying an object, the sensors are designed to provide a continuous stream of data regarding location, temperature, humidity and even light exposure.

“Physical AI is becoming foundational to how modern supply chains operate and compete,” said Amir Khoshniyati, vice president of marketing at Wiliot. “Through our partnership with Velociti, we’re giving customers a clear and proven path to scale. Wiliot provides the open, real-time Physical AI platform, while Velociti brings the expertise and operational execution needed to deploy and expand these capabilities across complex supply chain environments.”

For major retailers and logistics providers, the primary goal is complete visibility. Traditional barcodes require manual scanning, and standard RFID often provides only point-in-time data. This new partnership focuses on continuous visibility, allowing systems to react to issues (such as a temperature spike in a grocery shipment) the moment they occur. Deryk Powell, chief executive officer of Velociti, sees the partnership as natural progression of “visibility infrastructure,” and noted that teaming up with Wiliot simplifies the complexity of large-scale deployments. This helps global providers achieve more measurable operational impact, he said.

The partnership also includes blueprint design and advanced remote deployment capabilities. As businesses increasingly seek to digitize physical assets, the Wiliot-Velociti alliance positions itself as a primary engine for creating more autonomous, intelligent supply chains that can think and react in real time.

The companies said the collaboration moves the industry beyond fragmented solutions toward a more unified, scalable infrastructure for understanding and optimizing the physical world. “Physical AI is at an inflection point,” Khoshniyati said. “The technology is proven, and demand is accelerating. Scaling it across real-world operations requires deep deployment expertise—and that’s exactly what Velociti brings to this partnership.”
