Omnichannel retailer J.Jill announced the appointment of Mary Ellen Coyne as chief executive officer and president, as well as a member of the board of directors, effective May 2025. Current CEO Claire Spofford will step down on April 30 following her previously announced retirement. Coyne has over three decades of executive expertise in the retail sector, most recently serving as CEO of J. McLaughlin. Before that, she held various executive roles at Ralph Lauren, including chief merchandising officer of the women’s and children’s departments.
Funko
Pop culture lifestyle brand Funko has named Glenn Abell as senior vice president of sales for the United States and Canada. Abell brings more than two decades of relevant experience, having previously held senior leadership roles at Mattel, Moose Toys, and The Lego Group. In this new role, Abell will oversee Funko’s sales organization, driving strategy, execution and growth across wholesale and specialty sales channels.

QVC Group announced that David Rawlinson will remain as president and CEO through Dec. 31, 2027.

Oofos
Active recovery footwear brand Oofos announced that industry veteran Angel Martinez has been named to the company’s board of directors. Martinez is the former executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the Reebok portfolio of brands. As one of the Reebok Corporation’s founding employees, Martinez was later named president and CEO of the Rockport Company, a subsidiary of Reebok International. He’s also a founding member of the board of advisors of the Reebok Human Rights Awards. After retiring from Reebok in 2001, Martinez helped launch Keen Footwear and later served as president and CEO of Deckers Brands.

E-commerce accelerator Orva announced the appointment of Solomon Hedaya as chief strategy officer and executive vice president. In this role, Hedaya will lead Orva’s growth initiatives and strategic planning, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, business development, category expansion and the cultivation of new partnerships. He will also play a leadership role in supporting existing teams with operational improvements, brand relationships and team development. Prior to joining Orva, Hedaya served as the chief growth officer of Front Row, a private equity-backed e-commerce accelerator.

Supply chain AI company Exiger announced Dr. Laura Murphy has joined its advisory council to support the organization’s initiatives and solutions combatting forced labor. Murphy is a professor of human rights and contemporary slavery at Sheffield Hallam University’s Helena Kennedy Centre for International Justice and a nonresident senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. She previously served as a senior policy advisor at the Department of Homeland Security, where she led the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List team and was a member of the interagency Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force.

The Virgil Abloh Foundation has named Chicago-based leader Dana Loatman as its first executive director. She will oversee the foundation’s operations, strategic planning and program development to continue the late designer’s vision and mission. Loatman has over a decade of relevant experience and most recently served as chief of staff of external affairs for the Obama Foundation.

Materials science company Recover has named Hans Ploos van Amstel as executive chairman of its board of directors. He has held key executive leadership positions at various companies, including Levi Strauss & Co., where he served as group chief financial officer. This appointment as executive chairman follows the company’s appointment of Anders Sjöblom as chief executive officer, Matthew Neville as chief commercial officer, and Fehmi Yüksel as chief transformation officer.

Mad Engine, a manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of licensed, private label and branded apparel and accessories, announced the appointment of Dominic Farrell as its next chief executive officer, effective April 1. Farrell succeeds Danish Gajiani, who will transition from his role as CEO to executive chairman. Gajiani will continue to work closely with Farrell and the company to ensure a seamless transition for all key stakeholders.
Farrell brings over two decades of relevant experience, including a tenure at Adidas. Most recently, he served as president and chief operating officer of ’47, where he implemented strategies for domestic, international and e-commerce growth.
