Shuffle Board: Mytheresa Tweaks Leadership Team, Fair Trade Finds CEO

LVMH

Luxury conglomerate LVMH has appointed Charlotte Coupé as CEO of Kenzo, Ramon Ros as CEO of Fendi and Daniel DiCicco as Louis Vuitton’s regional president for Mainland China. Effective July 1, Ros will report to Sidney Toledano, senior advisor to the LVMH’s group chairman. He will join from Louis Vuitton, where he is president and CEO of the brand’s Mainland China division. Effective April 28, DiCicco will succeed Ros to help bolster Louis Vuitton’s local growth. Effective May 1, Coupé will succeed Kenzo’s outgoing CEO, Sylvain Blanc, who is leaving the group to pursue other efforts.

Global sportswear company Puma has named Tara McRae as president of Puma North America (PNA). McRae succeeds Bob Philion, who will leave Puma after 20 years with the company and eight years as president of PNA to pursue outside opportunities. McRae rejoined Puma as senior vice president of brand and strategy last year, having previously held various positions on PNA’s media planning and sports marketing teams between 2006-2016.

VF Corp

Apparel conglomerate VF Corp has promoted Abhishek Dalmia to executive vice president and chief operating officer, according to a securities filing. In this role, Dalmia will oversee the company’s corporate strategy, transformation, digital technology and supply chain operations. Dalmia joined VF last March to serve as executive vice president and chief strategy, transformation and digital officer.

Djerf Avenue

Swedish lifestyle brand Djerf Avenue has named Nanna Hedlun as interim chief executive officer, replacing current CEO and co-founder Rasmus Johansson, who will assume the role of interim chief marketing officer. After holding leadership positions across various markets, Hedlund brings extensive experience to her role as CEO. She has built a career leading omnichannel growth. She is known for brand transformation and organizational excellence across both established companies and newer ventures.

Victoria’s Secret

Lingerie leader Victoria’s Secret announced a series of leadership appointments designed to bolster growth across the company’s brand portfolio.

Adam Selman will serve as senior vice president, executive creative director, effective next week. He will report directly to CEO Hillary Super until a new CMO is announced. Current chief merchandising officer Anne Stephenson has been promoted to serve as president of Victoria’s Secret, effective May 12. Ali Dillon will join as president of Pink on May 12 as well.

Mytheresa

German luxury e-tailer Mytheresa announced a new leadership team after acquiring Yoox Net-A-Porter from Richemont. 

The revamped senior leadership team comprises Michael Kliger, CEO and managing director; Martin Beer, CFO and managing director; Philipp Barthold, chief technology officer; Sebastian Dietzmann, chief operating officer; Gareth Locke, chief data and analytics officer; Richard Johnson, chief business officer; Björn Kastl, chief people officer; and Francesca Tranquilli, chief transformation officer.

A brand-level leadership team has been assembled as well. Heather Kaminetsky will serve as CEO of Net-A-Porter, responsible for defining and driving global customer proposition efforts and simplifying the organizational structures. Founding member of Mr. Porter, Toby Bateman, will return to the men’s luxury label as CEO. Yoox Net-A-Porter’s current COO, Mirko Nobili, will be promoted to CEO of Yoox. For the time being, Kliger will continue to serve as CEO of the Mytheresa business in addition to his role as group CEO.

French luxury department store Printemps announced two appointments to its executive committee. Laëtitia Henry succeeds Laurence Nicolas as general manager of Printemps Haussmann. Mélanie Turpin was named general manager of human resources, succeeding Jean-Baptiste Dacquin, who held the position since 2023 before departing late last month.  

Henry joins with experience across brands including Cartier and Chloe, while Turpin spent two decades with French superstore Auchan.

The Athlete’s Foot

Specialty footwear and lifestyle chain The Athlete’s Foot (TAF) promoted Matt Lafone to the role of global CEO. Having joined TAF in 2021, he most recently served as president and general manager of the Americas. Before that, Lafone served as COO for Payless ShoeSource and as vice president of sportstyle for Puma.

Funko

Pop culture lifestyle brand Funko has named Cliff Engle as senior vice president of distribution, logistics, and operations. In this role, he will oversee the company’s global distribution and logistics operations, including distribution centers in Arizona and the UK, with a focus on driving operational efforts to advance Funko’s end-to-end supply chain strategy. Having held senior roles at companies like Amazon and Fender Musical Instruments, Engle brings over 25 years of executive leadership in global supply chains across multiple markets and distribution sectors.

The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC)

The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, an international cross-party group of politicians better known as IPAC, has named Chairman John Moolenaar of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party as IPAC’s new U.S. co-chair. He succeeds Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who cofounded IPAC and served as its inaugural U.S. co-chair. In this role, Moolenaar will work “alongside international colleagues to strengthen cross-border legislative cooperation and champion policies that defend human rights, national sovereignty, and the rules-based international order.”

Fair Trade USA

The board of directors for nonprofit Fair Trade USA (FTUSA) has named Felipe Arango as CEO. He has served as FTUSA’s chief operating officer and as interim-CEO since FTUSA’s founder stepped down last September. Arango served as a fair trade auditor and trainer for eight years, leading to an impact career spanning 30 years. He has partnered with The World Bank Group, International Finance Corporation and the United Nations, and advised corporate partners and leading global brands on sustainable development and supply chain management as well.
