Pottery Barn x Brandon Maxwell Groveland Toile Decanter & Double Old Fashioned Glasses, Set of 3
Since launching his luxury womenswear label in 2015, Brandon Maxwell has become synonymous with glamorous, modern takes on the Americana aesthetic — consistently serving as a standout during New York Fashion Week. The designer’s fall 2025 runway was no exception, showcasing elevated layers, sharp tailoring, and a clear ambition to leave his mark on American sportswear. Now, Maxwell is expanding that same design sensibility into the interior space, by joining forces with Pottery Barn on a new home collaboration that’s rooted in one of today’s top trends: toile.
Maxwell, who has never ventured into the home space until now, unveiled a capsule of incredibly chic and livable home goods, from tableware like runners, plates, and candle holders to Versailles-worthy bedding sets, pet beds for Fido, luxe bathrobes, and shower curtains. Swathed in a timeless color palette of navy, white, and green tones — with leather, silver, and velvet accents for an extra hint of the refined — every last piece feels intentional, which is no surprise considering the creative powers behind the launch.
“I love interiors, and making my spaces beautiful is a lifelong personal passion. On the heels of the 10th anniversary of my runway collection, I’m proud to bring everyone into the private world of Brandon Maxwell,” the designer said in a press release. “Each piece in this collection reflects aspects of my life and the quiet memories I’ve shared with the people who shaped me. I can’t wait to open the curtains to this part of my creative expression and share it with my supporters and the ones who mean so much to me.”
For the designer, the most intimate part of the Brandon Maxwell x Pottery Barn collection is the heavy emphasis on toile, which is inspired by his Texas upbringing. Currently trending in the home space, toile is a decorative pattern that features a repeated pastoral scene (most commonly illustrated in blue over a white background). It originated in Ireland and was popularized in 18th-century France, after which its Rococo-inspired sophistication ventured overseas and ended up being popular in Colonial America.
Around the 19th century, toile experienced a major resurgence, with interior designers relying on the pattern’s inherent grandeur and opulence to elevate the homes of clients with high tastes, and it’s once again trending now. A quick look at TikTok is all that’s needed for confirmation; there, the relevant hashtag flaunts over 36,000 posts that manage to accumulate thousands of likes — as content creators slash DIY stars use it for their headboards, bed throws, wallpapers, and even kitchen cabinets.
The fashion world played its part in propelling the 21st-century rise of toile, too. It took on a life of its own at Dior‘s 2019 cruise runway and Stella McCartney‘s spring 2022 show, while being a hit in more recent resort collections. But those looking to make their interiors magazine-worthy through the ornateness of the print should look no further than the Pottery Barn x Brandon Maxwell drop in question. Amidst its wide assortment, you’ll find must-haves for every nook and cranny of your cozy abode — like the Groveland Toile Cereal Bowls that will suddenly make eating Lucky Charms an experience bordering on the transcendent, the Groveland Toile Reversible Duvet Cover for enjoying visuals of horses and verdant trees before dozing off, the Groveland Toile Decanter and set of three Double Old Fashioned Glasses whose engravings will infuse an element of nature into many well-oiled evenings, and the Groveland Toile 3-in-1 Pet Bed (because your best friend also deserves to live lavish while matching slumber sanctuaries with its owner).
