Judith Milgrom looked at her “Parisienne” through a lighthearted lens for spring, infusing her collection for Maje with bright colors and irreverent motifs and contrasting girly and sporty styles.
A vivid floral print covered a midlength dress and a more androgynous baseball shirt embroidered with an “M” for a streetwise look, while a pajama jacket was emblazoned with Ferris wheels and surfer girls for the fun-loving woman about town.
Sporty shorts were worked in a variety of shapes; for example, in red tweed with black binding, cute floral denim or black knit jacquard with a daisy motif. More masculine tailored pieces and simple striped dresses offered a simpler register, while transparency came into play on organza overshirts in mint green or peach, or by way of a bright yellow crochet sweater.
