Faith Connexion continues to pump up the volume. The ubercool Parisian design collective, which has built a strong following for its unorthodox punk aesthetic, showed a louder-than-ever collection for spring.
A United Nations of washed-out silk flags was the inspiration for a group of skirts and shirts, a theme continued on certain parkas and hoodies. Oversize sleeveless jean jackets were shaken up with a chaos of tweed, brocade and false fur, while a pair of what might loosely be termed jogging pants with poppers down the sides was made entirely of hot-pink fake feathers (a black glitter version is also available, but is no more minimal). Jeans with various paintlike and metallic surface treatments, an array of tie-dyed and military-inspired items and an awful lot else all got a roughing up from Faith Connexion.
The label teamed up with several artists again this season, with designs including Rastafarian motifs from regular collaborator Pisco Logik, Cyrillic and Asian script designs from tag artist Vincent Dacquin and limited-edition leather jackets embellished by hand with metallic studs and safety pins by South Korean punk artist Bajowoo of 99%IS.
