Whitney Pozgay’s spring Whit collection was all about bringing it full circle — back to art. “We always start with the prints and the artwork,” she explained. “Every season we work with different artists and my husband paints some of the prints as well.”
This season, Wayne Pate had the honors. He delivered a citrus print that embodied the collection’s fresh take on girly dresses with a distinctly regional flair. “I grew up in Arizona and spent a lot of time doing road trips with my family to California and Mexico,” Pozgay said. Hence the Mexican embroidered details, map-line prints on roomy dresses, snake-print maxidress and serape skirts.
