Here in Kors’ section C, I heard a melody
It raised my mood from the start
Rufus — in person, he — and Judy’s melody
Zing! Went the strings of my heart!
It was a breath of spring; no heavy fall-ish things
Michael Kors working his art
Yes, there was buy-now fare, blended in so nicely there
Zing! Went the strings of my heart!
Kors’ girls recalled the great screen “Dames”
“Feminine but strong, the same”
So, blooms and tailored, through and through
Hepburn! Stanwick, too!
Sporty glam — gals will thrill; throw in a well-placed frill
Strong shoulders looked oh-so-smart
Yes! Such good clothes to mine. And upbeat — so divine
Zing! Went the strings of my heart!
(With apologies to Rufus, Judy and “Zing!” composer James F. Hanley.)
