One can always find great wearable pieces at Jil Sander Navy, and for spring, the label looked to French girls — and their cool-yet-casual vibe — for inspiration. Form, function, volume and proportion all played off each other. Shapes were long and fluid with an elegant ease. Case in point: a floral porcelain print color-blocked dress. Knits were strong, offering a preppy take on cable-knit sweaters that worked perfectly back to the floral porcelain prints.
Against all the sweetness, there were some great tailored looks, including a chic white pantsuit. The sporty-tech offerings were also strong, as in voluminous Bermuda shorts with utility pockets, a striped Windbreaker and a lightweight denim shirt with a drawstring waist. The collection was topped off with notable accessories, such as a sandal with a painted heel that resembled the bamboo used in bistro chairs, and an assortment of whimsical charm necklaces and brooches, which added a playful nuance to the collection.
