Fabiana Filippi welcomed spring with bold shades — bright yellow lemon and strawberry red — that updated its iconic subdued neutral palette. The elegant, minimal designs all had a twist, like a coat crafted from cashmere with a crispy effect, as well as a trench in a carpetlike textured fabric. The vivid hues injected a more feminine attitude into the mannish Prince of Wales cloth used for a fluid vest and matching pants with a comfortable drawstring waist. The brand’s signature artisanal skills were on show as well, including a silk top with a second layer with allover embroidery. Suede was worked into a shirtdress, as well as for a robe coat lined with jersey. This coherent show was infused with the brand’s signature laid-back, discreet elegance.
