In his fourth women’s collection for Y/Project, Glenn Martens continued to stamp his own identity on the label, offering subverted suit and shirt fabrics and splicing them with rough, textural elements.
Martens sliced heavy textured pants horizontally and partially rolled them up. He trimmed more fitted designs at the thigh to resemble shorts and suspenders, and cut away the front of a pair of denim shorts along the panty line. Elsewhere, a pale blue belted shirtdress verged on simplicity — aside from its bell sleeves and asymmetric hemline — while a pinstriped shirt fabric formed outsize ruffles on a sleeveless top.
