A film of a Nineties rave from the Thunderdome in Amsterdam playing in the background set the perfect tone for Devon Halfnight Leflufy’s third collection. “I use nostalgia as a tool to look forward,” said the Canadian designer backstage before his show.
Spring marked the debut of the Antwerp-based Leflufy’s new women’s wear line. A natural extension of his men’s collection, it featured long coats with color-blocked shirts, airbrushed, wide-leg pants and silk crop tops with raver prints.
For men’s wear, his time-travel technique worked best on the elongated coats paired with baggy pants and mesh Ts, while a faux black leather slouchy suit and patchwork denim pants had more of a Seventies spin.
