There was a “Star Trek,” retro-modern feel to the Miuniku collection by the Mumbai-born, London-based sisters Nikita and Tina Sutradhar. They were thinking about a time before humankind came to rely on digital technology and used key analog elements — cassette tapes, volume buttons and vinyl records — as inspirational fodder for circular details on pockets. The duo’s palette was primary red and blue, collaged with black, as well as pastels mixed with white.
Prettiest in the lineup was a kilt with white, baby blue and pale yellow panels, worn with a ribbed sweater in soft gray, lemon and mint, while a crushed velvet top in navy had an asymmetric red panel over the shoulders. Mr. Spock would have loved it. Jackets, such as a spongy black mesh style with blue satin sleeves, fell short of the mark, but skirts — including a great midi version with half-moon buttons — were on target.
