“Classics and classicism” — Neil Barrett merged both for spring.
He channeled the first via traditional, menswear-inspired silhouettes with the shirt at the core. Bold photographic prints of Apollo and Aphrodite statues accounted for the latter. Their heads graced bomber jackets, appeared slightly distorted on a sweater and were interpreted as a cool camouflage on a maxi-shirtdress. These made a bold visual statement; not everyone will fancy sporting an ancient Grecian deity. Barrett provided several alternatives, including leather jackets and knitted Lurex tops that will work more easily into a wardrobe of staples.
