Boosted by ANDAM’s First Collection Award, which they scooped in July, duo Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant delivered a coherent and utterly contemporary second collection for spring. Most outstanding were monochrome 3-D embroideries on Japanese linen jackets and cotton gabardine skirts, which were unlined to exalt the artisanal construction.
The 3-D notion continued on the pockets of slim, cropped pants done in a grainy fabric, which were both practical and feminine (a rare combination), as well as a series of sportier polo dresses. Silhouettes were cut close to the body, including collarless shirts with inconspicuously split sleeves that were anchored at the wrists.
