The cover of the booklet distributed at the show perfectly summed up the message of designers Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff’s collection: “Reject everything.” The anarchic, cyberpunk-influenced clothes ranged from the crazy…to the utterly crazy. The duo, who avoid using models and instead cast “real” people, sent out knitted tops, skirts and bodysuits with decorations that referenced space heroes’ costumes. There was also a neon-yellow leather fitted skirt paired with a lace cone bra and a red coat made of woven plastic and trimmed with fringe. The lineup’s overall look seemed more suitable for a costume party inspired by a video game or for an afternoon rendezvous in the streets of Harajuku than for real-life adventures.
