If guests weren’t already all hot and sweaty from rushing over to 180 Strand straight from late-running shows, Newgen brand Harri’s womenswear debut definitely had them tugging at their collars.
Long on louche latex, the collection was reminiscent of something Bella Baxter à la “Poor Things” might put on for a day out on the town: wonderfully wacky and sweat-beaded gowns, flouncy skirts, and floor-length coats in the kinky fabric.
Designer Harikrishnan Keezhathil Surendran Pillai said he’s color-blind, which made palette simple: black, white, brown, and translucent gray.
The elimination of color allows Pillai to focus his energy on gravity-defying silhouettes which have garnered the brand its viral reputation, sported by celebrities such as Sam Smith.

Twin models walked hand-in-hand wearing floor-length gowns that converged through an inflated apparatus. Behind them came three women, rather Rockette-like, wearing skin-tight crop tops and peplum miniskirts, the inflated frills linking them together.
There were more wearable looks, too — at least as wearable as latex gets. One could easily image the collection’s column gowns, some with ruching down their front, others with it on their sides, styled on daring fashionistas like Julia Fox or Doja Cat.
