When designer Roberto Cavalli launched his collaboration with H&M in 2007, he appeared in a glamorous black-and-white video exclaiming: “I’m the party!”
That flamboyant party spirit inspired the resort collection of the contemporary Just Cavalli brand, which under the creative direction of a revamped design team is showing a fresher, more modern image.
Exuding a joyful sensuality, the women’s lineup focused on feminine body-con silhouettes, smartly juxtaposed to more mannish designs injected with sartorial appeal. Colorful archival prints of roses, butterflies and jewels immediately linked the collection to a late ’90s/early Aughts vibe, which also resonated in the cropped cuts, tank tops and bodysuit updated with seamless technologies.
The brand’s signature wild animal prints were splashed on suits, but also on outerwear pieces, including trenches, and were recreated through mesh techniques on activewear styles.

Comfort and coolness stood out with distressed and washed denim styles, skater pants, as well as T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring poker-inspired prints. When the brand approached more formal designs, it didn’t set aside its young and fun attitude and delivered laid-back suits featuring pants with elastic waistbands and applications of logos, barcodes and tiger head patches.
To top it all off, the collection included a streetwear capsule celebrating the 2022 Chinese New Year of the tiger.
