Informed by a mishmash of influences — from Japanese florals and festival dressing to fisherman’s outfits — Clare Waight Keller whipped up a soft, bohemian resort collection with a tomboy edge for See by Chloé. A coastal theme ran throughout the lineup, done in sun-faded and neutral hues, with Waight Keller‘s striped cotton overalls, oversize denim trousers, Windbreaker coats and hooded anoraks riffing on traditional workwear silhouettes.
Those men’s-inspired styles were offered alongside frillier looks for which the label is known, including silk georgette peasant dresses trimmed with floral-patterned devoré velvet and long-sleeved pussy-bow blouses. Knits for the season featured romantic bell sleeves and were richly textured, featuring a collage of velvet, fringe, bouclé tweed and scalloped crochet techniques. Catering to her youthful clientele, Waight Keller offered a few looks suited to an outdoor music festival, from denim cropped tops to a rainbow bouclé knit cape coat fit for Glastonbury.
