“We always have this girl in our head — quite chic but effortless,” said Saloni Lodha of her muse for resort. That starting point meant that Lodha riffed on her signature feminine silhouettes, but also added some structure to the floaty dresses for which she has been known. For example, while her popular Apsara dress had a billowing silk top this season, the skirt was done in structured Neoprene.
Alongside plenty of statement dresses — such as an off-the-shoulder style in contrasting sky blue and purplish print panels and a guipure lace shift dress done in a feather pattern — Lodha worked in plainer pieces that were low-key but still had personality. They included a black jumpsuit with ruffles at the sleeves and cropped, wide-leg culottes, which she paired with a striped knit T-shirt.
