Inspired by the movement and texture of Kate MccGwire’s feathered sculptures, Nicole and Michael Colovos’ resort collection for Helmut Lang was a play on texture, layers and sharp silhouettes. Feather prints looked bold, especially on the pantsuit, while jackets were boxy but still had a relaxed attitude. As for the asymmetric hems the designers are known for, this time they worked the motif with texture and seam details rather than cuts.
