A vacation to Limoges, France, put Kobi Halperin in a delicate, dreamy mood for pre-fall. He stayed in a castle while there and immersed himself in the local culture of porcelain craftsmanship, which translated to a hyperfeminine pre-fall collection of fluid silk dresses and tops with ruffles and appliqué trims in precious shades of ivory, gold and apricot. Sweet if a bit saccharine, the pieces had summer occasion dressing written all over them. For the lineup’s later deliveries, Halperin toned down all the porcelain colors for a darker palette which grounded some of the flou.
