For pre-fall, Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard envisioned their girl on a road trip along California’s Pacific Coast Highway, her bag packed with easy, utilitarian wardrobe basics. Quintessential West Coast bohemia — embroidered peasant tops, floral silk dresses and a take on a belted Mexican serape jacket — was a natural, obvious compliment the label’s core of spiffy tailoring, including its signature, shawl blazers lined with dickeys. The motorcycle jackets, done in interesting fabrics such as twill and raffia that resembled leather, were a highlight — perfect for driving up the coast.
